#12 COMPLAINING THAT YOUR PRESIDENT WANTS THE BEST FOR EVERYONE --- AS IF THATS A BAD THING
I thought that's what we want our leaders to do, make our lives better. Not worse.
I thought that's what we want our leaders to do, make our lives better. Not worse.
At his latest event to help propell him into the lead of this years race for second, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum on Saturday morning event in Manchester, N.H., came out with a doozy of a statement that needs to be used as a commercial for President Obama's reelection campaign.
"I was so outraged by the president of the United States for standing up and saying every child in America should go to college. Well who are you? Who are you to say that every child in America should [go to college]? I mean, the hubris of this president to think that he knows what's best. I have seven kids. Maybe they will all go to college. But if one of my kids wants to go and be an auto-mechanic, good for him. That's a good paying job: using your hands, using your mind. This is the kind of snobbery that we see from those who think they know how to run our lives. Rise up America, defend your own freedoms. And overthrow these folks who think they know how to orchestrate every aspect of your lives."
You know Rick Santorum maybe you're right. Maybe people shouldn't better themselves. I mean we do need those folks that work those low paying jobs. Boy, now it all makes sense. I better sit back and think. How dare Obama want all our kids to have a college education. How elitest of him. This is the last straw. He must be thrown out. Now I see the light. That's the American way, right? Sorry, its the job of our President to make our lives better. To lead our nation into the future. To improve the lives of every American. So thanks Rick, you've won one thing today. Todays worst quote. Congratulations, I have a feeling this will not be your last.
